Susan Rice
Member Care Director
Susan met Daivd during their university studies, were married in 1986, and joined staff with Cru in 1987 with a vision of seeing university students come to Christ. While serving at the University of Massachusetts and Smith College, they sensed a call to reach students behind the Iron Curtain and moved to Romania in 1991, where their 3 daughters were born. In 2004 they relocated to Hungary and began working on a regional basis. Susan focused on developing a leadership culture and platform for women while David developed the catalytic ministry. From 2007 to 2016 David also led Cru’s global catalytic movement expansion, leading trainings in 38 countries. In 2020 they joined The Antioch Partners, relocated to the United Kingdom and worked alongside an Iranian refugee church. Returning to the U.S. in 2023, they stepped into the role of directors of member care.
Susan is best described as a curious listener who accompanies others in their journey of transformation. She is a spiritual director with a Master’s in Spiritual Formation and Direction from Richmont University. She is also a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation and an Integrative Enneagram coach. She offers coaching around such topics as life purpose and vocation, sabbatical, and transition. She enjoys integrating these different disciplines into creative listening spaces that engage the body, mind, and soul in spiritual formation.
In her free time, Susan can be found reading with a cat by her side, hiking with David, or having fun with her 3 adult daughters and their families. She enjoys questions and loves to learn.
