Rafael

For the past 8 years, Rafael has been in Lisa and Clever’s Sunday school program in Lima, Peru. Rafael was 6 years old when he first came to this program aimed at serving kids with special needs. He has participated both in person and online for almost a decade with the support of a special needs volunteer. Rafael is now 14 years old and recently transitioned from the kids Sunday school program to the youth service with the support of a teen helper.

Rafael really loves being with other teens, he reads and writes well, enjoys drawing and like most teenagers, he is always hungry! But Rafael’s story doesn’t stop there. During his second time participating in the teen service, Rafael made an eternal decision. At 14 years of age, Rafael decided to receive Jesus in his heart and faithfully serve Jesus!

Lisa and Clever, along with their son, Kaleb, serve with a church called Camino Davida. It’s a dynamic church who’s passionate about sharing and demonstrating the love of Jesus Christ. They have been helping the Camino Davida family of churches grow their engagement with kids who have special needs. Praise the Lord for making the soil rich and for the opportunities Lisa, Clever and their team have to plant seeds on fertile ground and praise the Lord for his endless pursuit of our hearts!
